Why does everytime I come to Zagfey have me going into it's sewer?
I'm sure it's a nice town, but everytime I come here, I have to run through 4 feet of the town's crap, it really lowers my opinions of the place.
After Vincent's rambling, they snuck into the town, using the aforementioned method. Kiyoshi, using his own insane form of Diplomacy, goes and murders 3 of the guards. It gets the job done, but not without drawing attention of the local populace, who looked at us with a ghastly gaze. I don't ever want to be on the opposite end of something like that again.
With some medallions secured, they worked thier way back to the Zagfey Administrative Tower, where the powers that be...do that powering that be thing. I don't know what Heaton was doing for Zagfey, but he did keep it running smoothly from my observations... Just the whole "Enslave me to a dragon and ultimately die a horrible barbaric death" thing is not what I'm looking for in a leader. They searched the tower, and Lord Heaton didn't seem to be in- for some reason they felt it neccessary to knock out his secretary, Jeane. They were about to give up when they heard a marching party of soldiers returning to the tower. They hid, and tried to readvance on Heaton's office, with a massive ugly lug guarding the way.
Them, being the barbarians that they are, chose to beat down the big, ugly half-ogre I believe over trying to talk thier way in. This ended up with Kiyoshi & Zalajin missing a few teeth, and worse for the wear, but they brought him and his goons down. Which brings me to mention I really need to force Valletta to take this bow back. It's giving me bad, bad, HORRIBLE ideas.
They then met with Heaton, who chose not to keep at his earlier diplomacy, as his nonsense was not to be believed this time. For an aristocrat who never seemed to work a day in his life, he gave them one hell of a fight, but ultimately couldn't take them all. Of course, they just murdered the High Priest of a fanatical evil cult, when the city is still infested by them...What's the worst that can happen?
I horribly fear the answer to that question...
