That's Valletta's character sheet with her current spell list. She has potentially 1 CSW, 3 CLW-mass, 1 CMW-mass, and 1 CSW-mass left, which I hope is enough to keep us alive until her dawn prayer.
The entire party currently has their CON restored and should have most or all of its HP back after the CLW-mass Valletta tossed off at the end of the session (is anyone still hurting?)
We may have struck down Lord Heaton, but it's not over yet. Not even close. There is a city full of fanatical cultists around us and the next patrol (or worse) could walk in and catch us red-handed at any minute.
Some of the cultists outside the room are only unconscious - if their friends have so much as a CLW wand they can revive their allies.
- I don't know how or where to get the rest of the gem-thingies for the key into Sygnus' sanctuary.
- IMO, we must take Lord Heaton's body with us wherever we go or whatever we do - we may need him for a Speak with Dead (next dawn) for information, and Valletta will start breaking things if some dragon cultist cleric with Raise Dead brings the bastard back.
- Valletta has a winter blanket in her backpack; wrapping the body in that plus a prestigitation with Seo might make the dead Lord Heaton a tiny bit less obvious. A very tiny bit.
- I wonder what Vincent and the Uzinians are up to? Did they hear Seonia's signal? Whatever diversion they created is very likely finished by now, which could be very bad news for us when the outside guards they diverted come back and notice something wrong.
So, what's our next move in a city potentially brimming with furious cultists? If we can hash it out here, we can save some time next session.
Valletta's wand of disguise can make her (or Seonia) look like Lord Heaton, his secretary, or a random cultist, but it can't alter her voice. Valletta is untrained in the Disguise skill. To appease Kiyoshi, Valletta will promise him that she will do harm (as in, inflict damage) to no one while under the effects of disguise. But if that isn't enough to appease him she will back down rather than risk a quarrel, especially now.
Valletta is inclined to beat a hasty retreat unless someone has a better idea - without a way into Sygnus' dimension our options are rather limited.
BTW, there is a strong risk that Speak with Dead will fail. Lord Heaton's corpse would get a Will Save, and clerics tend to have a high Will. Other than stripping the body of anything that boosted its WIS, or finding a cleric of Lord Heaton's alignment to cast the spell, I don't know of any way Valletta can reduce the body's Will Save.
Also, Speak with Dead can only be cast once a week. We may have to use a different divination spell, or kidnap Lord Heaton's secretary (is she still unconscious?), or just figure out the puzzle ourselves.
