SEABORNE TOWN GUARD
REPORT OF INCIDENT
August 29th, 6391
Officers involved: Private D. Doring(reporting), Dock Patrolman C. Anderson
This evening, a few hours ago, roughly around Sunset, Patrolman Anderson shouted for my assistance down near the docks of the town. I scrambled as quickly as I could and found a strange ship docked in our harbor. The vessel’s mast held up a strange unfamiliar flag blowing in the wind. The ship’s design was unlike I have ever seen, however it most closely resembled that of a galleon. It was painted a powdered blue color, with excessive décor all over the top deck, with a magnificent sea serpent carved into the front of the ship, with a fearsome gaze striking out of it. The people on board the ship most closely resembled elves- however, they appeared to be much paler than our neighbors who came out of the Feyan forests. Almost all of them had white blond hair, creating a ghostly haunting presence about them. Their large ears were pierced with various expensive looking jewelry. Most of them wore outfits that matched the color of the ship’s coat of paint- functional sailor’s powdered blue shirts and light blue leather vests. Their britches were equally well made and cared for, and they had shoes that looked so well made that only the top Jal’Nareth nobility could possible afford such luxury. Lastly, each of them carried equally fancy weapons- thin longswords that looked like they could cut through our flesh like butter. On the sides of the deck, more beautiful looking weapons rested, these being bows. I nudged Anderson and we approached the ship.
A small ramp was dropped off the ship onto our dock. Coming off the ship was one royal looking elf- similar to his sailors, but his outfit was in complete dark royal blue. He shoved his way past me and Anderson as he shouted something loud and very rude sounding, but neither me or Anderson really understood what this Elf was saying. I myself was fluent in the elven language, as was much of the town given our proximity to the elven forests- but it did not help at all. The Captain Elf kept barking something loud and rude sounding into the air, drawing crowds of curious and confused citizens. The Captain continued to move around and shout. He began pacing around the coast rapidly turning his head. He had a look of great disgust on his face. His face turned to a grin- he spotted a small elven child who was playing a game with a few human children. He went over a did a curtsey to the elven child. The elven child just responded in silent astonishment. The Captain spoke more of his crazy language, as the elven child’s blank expression continued. The Captain grew angry, and stood back up. He seemed to be ranting and raving about something, as the citizens of Seaborne looked on. He began wildly going off on tangents at pedestrians, who didn’t move, as trying to figure this fellow out easily overpowered any threat of fear.
The Captain continued about and begin looking right at another of the children. This time, it was a small half-elf girl. His face changed to a burning rage, as he drew his strange looking sword- which was exponentially more expensive looking than his crew’s blades, and began charging at the girl, who was more concerned with comforting her dolly than the mad elf. Anderson and I had enough of this and rushed in and tackled the mad elf down. He resisted, and with some effort, somehow managed to worm out of our grasp. He began backing towards his ship, sheathing his blade. The Captain was absolutely infuriated. He shouted scornfully at us and spit on the ground. He then turned and stormed back onto his vessel. With some more supposedly foul language directed at his crew mates, they raised their ramp, and their anchor, and soon began to deport the harbor. Anderson instructed the crowd to disperse. I checked on the little half-elven girl, who was completely oblivious about the possible new metallic addition to her skull. With the situation handled, I returned to my beat.
