We finally learned why Kiyoshi and Aiko disliked the Eunuch Warlocks- they were corrupt bastards, who are seemingly easily bribed. Ussually, they would dislike such a trait, but today it played into thier advantage. The clerk sung like a canary and gave them all the information they needed. They returned to Aiko's home, where we dined on some incredibly ran...ethnic, I should say, food. It was filling. That's all I can say good about it.
After Aiko made her daily attempt to molest me, we advanced to the Edonoyi Palace. With some magic, we made a Earth Elemental assault the palace, enough to distract the 2 tomb guards. We silenced the alarms, but our path still wasn't an easy one.
It seems the clerk was right- some Samurai have given thier souls and everlasting bodies to protect thier Emperor's tomb. Luckily for us, they viewed us as Tomb robbers. This of course, led to a great disagreement and arrows flying by my head as diplomacy carried on. With that disagreement settled, they entered more negotations this time with a pack of Samurai with swords, prepared to let thier blades do the talking.
Quickly disposing them...they found who they were looking for. The Master Enchanter Valdien, who wasn't looking to be as bloodthirsty as they were. Instead, he proposed a truce- he claimed he dropped all interests in Orenero, and would gladly give them what they need if they would just leave him alone. He explained his motivations- he bought that Skulryke had methods of controlling Siliskor, however, Valdien did his homework, as he put it. The mind of the dragon after 4,000 years of solitude would simply be non-existant. All that would remain is a violent shell of a dragon, who only yearns for blood, with such insanity that nothing could hold it back. It'd seek revenge, and would likely settle for anything in sight as an outlet.
Valdien departed us, telling us that he wasn't really planning on murdering anyone or plotting any world domination soon. Some believed him, some didn't, but we were left in a tomb for now.
